The Diamondhead Airport is an integral part of the community. Established in 1970, the facility offers a storage hangar, repair facilities and a fueling depot. Many residents choose to hangar their private craft at their personal hangar. A lighted runway of 3800' provides accessibility to a variety of aircraft and assures a smooth landing for you and your passengers. Easy access off l-l0 makes Diamondhead ideal for the weekend getaway, winter oasis or permanent residence. The airport has been host to many events for the community. The young Eagles flights have provided an educational experience for all. The flights of dimes events have brought the entire community together at the airport. Recently celebrating 100 years of flight, the airport hosted the Centennial of Flight. Displaying some current and older models of aircraft, it was an event enjoyed by all.
